Delete Your MealSnap Account

MealSnap, operated by Emmanqubic, gives you full control over your account and the data you create in the app. This page explains how to permanently delete your account and all associated data, what gets deleted, and what (if anything) is kept.

Option 1: Delete from inside the app (recommended)

If you still have MealSnap installed:

1. Open MealSnap on your device.
2. Sign in if you are signed out.
3. Go to Settings (the gear icon on the Profile tab).
4. Scroll to Delete Account — "Permanently delete your account and all data".
5. Tap it and confirm Delete My Account in the prompt.

Your account, profile, meals, photos, and logs are permanently removed from our database immediately. Backups are purged within 30 days.

Option 2: Request deletion by email

If you have already uninstalled MealSnap or cannot sign in, send an email to support@mealsnap.app from the email address registered to your MealSnap account.

We will verify the request, delete the account within 7 business days, and email you to confirm. All backups containing your data are purged within 30 days of the request.

Delete some of your data without deleting your account

You don't have to delete the whole account to remove specific data. From inside the app you can:

• Delete individual meals from your history (swipe or use the delete action on a meal entry).
• Delete individual water entries from the water log.
• Delete individual weight entries from the weight log.
• Delete saved meals / favorites from the saved meals list.

For any partial deletion request that can't be completed in-app, email support@mealsnap.app describing what you want removed.

What gets deleted

When you delete your account, the following data is permanently removed:

Profile	Email, name, age, gender, height, weight, target weight, activity level, calorie and macro goals, water goal, target date.
Meal logs	All meals, foods, calories, macros, meal types, timestamps.
Meal photos	All photos uploaded for AI food analysis, removed from cloud storage.
Saved meals	Favorites and saved meal templates.
Daily summaries	Aggregated daily nutrition totals.
Water logs	All water intake entries.
Weight logs	All weight entries and notes.
Authentication	Sign-in credentials and session tokens.
Push notification token	Device token used to send reminders.

What we keep, and why

Anonymized crash reports and diagnostics	Crash logs collected through Sentry are stripped of personally identifiable information before being sent and are not linked to your account once it is deleted; they remain only as anonymous app stability data.	Up to 90 days
Subscription / purchase records	If you ever subscribed to MealSnap Premium, the purchase record is held by Google Play (Android) or Apple (iOS) and by RevenueCat for tax, refund, and accounting compliance. Records required by law	If we are legally required to retain specific records (e.g. a fraud or law-enforcement request), we will retain only what the law requires.	As required by law

Retention period

Your account and the data listed above are removed from our active database immediately on deletion. Encrypted database backups are rotated and fully purged within 30 days, after which no copy of your account data remains in our systems.
