MealSnap ("we", "us", or "our"), operated by Emmanqubic, is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your information when you use the MealSnap mobile application ("App").
Account Information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and authentication credentials.
Health & Nutrition Data: We store the data you provide and generate within the App, including meal photos, food analysis results, calorie and macro tracking, water intake, exercise logs, weight logs, and nutrition goals.
Photos: When you use the food scanning feature, your food photos are sent to our AI service for analysis. Photos may optionally be stored for your meal history.
Usage Data: We collect crash reports and technical diagnostics through Sentry to find and fix bugs (crashes, JavaScript errors and stack traces). Personally identifiable information such as your email address is stripped before reports are sent.
Purchase Information: Subscription purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store. We receive confirmation of your subscription status through RevenueCat but do not store payment card details.
Device Information: We may collect device type, operating system version, and unique device identifiers for crash reporting and troubleshooting.
MealSnap uses Google Gemini AI to analyze food photos and estimate nutritional content. Your food photos are sent to Google's API for processing. Google may process this data according to their own privacy policy. We do not use your photos or data to train AI models.
Important: AI-generated nutritional estimates are approximations and should not be relied upon for medical dietary requirements. Always consult a healthcare professional for precise dietary needs.
Your data is stored securely using Supabase (PostgreSQL database and cloud storage). We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit and at rest, secure authentication, row-level security policies, and access controls.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all associated data (meals, photos, water logs, exercise logs, and profile data) is permanently removed within 30 days.
MealSnap is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us immediately.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes through the App or by email.
