Everything you need to know about MealSnap
Simply take a photo of your food and our AI will analyze it to estimate calories, protein, carbs, and fat. You can also scan barcodes or manually enter food items.
Our AI provides reasonable estimates based on visual analysis. For common foods, accuracy is generally within 10-20%. For best results, try to capture clear photos with good lighting and include the full plate in the frame. Note that these are estimates and should not be used for medical dietary requirements.
Yes! After scanning, you can edit any food item's name, portion size, and nutritional values. You can also add or remove items before logging the meal.
On the home screen, you'll find the Water Tracker. Tap the "+1 glass" or "+2 glasses" buttons to log your water intake. Each glass equals 250ml. Your daily goal is 8 glasses (2 liters).
The Exercise Tracker on the home screen lets you choose from common activities (walking, running, cycling, gym, swimming, yoga). Select an activity, enter the duration in minutes, and the app will estimate calories burned.
MealSnap can scan food product barcodes to look up nutritional information from the Open Food Facts database. This works great for packaged foods with barcodes.
During onboarding, we calculate your goals based on your gender, age, height, weight, activity level, and goal (lose weight, maintain, or build muscle) using the Mifflin-St Jeor equation. You can adjust your goals anytime in Settings.
